The Difference
There is no shortage of great rug creators. What sets Ron's Rugs apart is the ability to offer wool rugs and the materials used for the rug backing. A vast majority of rug artists only work with acrylic yarn and use a putty-like adhesive for backing. While this makes the rugs affordable, it also makes them prone to rapid degradation. The putty-like adhesion can rehydrate, wear and form cracks causing the individual strands to fall out over time. Ron's backing adhesion is natural latex-based, which dries like a hard rubber. This provides a strong non-slip backing without the need to worry about wear and tear.
While acrylic rugs are offered, they are not recommended for floor pieces. Synthetic fibers are more susceptible to wear, flattening and shedding if stepped on frequently.
Ron's Rugs is committed to making rugs that can actually be rugs. Made with 100% New Zealand wool, Ron's wool rugs are crafted to last a lifetime and then some.
